Is death not justified enough?
Intro
Well, this is quite a weird start to my blogpost where I directly start talking about some most fundamental things about this world: the end. This post wouldn't answer many questions but it'll raise a few I've pondered for a long time (yes, mostly shower thoughts). Not only I hope to ask questions but also present my views on the topic. Everything I write here are just my opinions and you, the reader, can have different opinions and is free to share them with me. Maybe I might learn something new. So, let's get to business.
Why do we see death as a scary thing?
Well, whenever we hear the word death, we often picture it as the end, a darkness, a void in life. But why? Why look at death as such a scary thing. Well, most of you will say to me, "Well Arthur, death is when people die, no one likes to die." Fair point.
Well so do we say that loss of life is scary? I mean yeah but don't you think that this is all part of nature. Things come and go and you can't stop it. This is the rhythm and the change that nature works on. So, why shouldn't loss of life be accepted as a natural process, why be scared of something that is inevitable.
Yeah, death comes with its own emotional instability but that is what life is, life will throw awful things at us but we gotta face them to move ahead.
Is death really the end?
We think birth is the start of life and death is the end but what if it is the start of something new. We don't know what it is- but just because we don’t know, doesn’t mean it’s nothing.
Not only is it a new start for the person who dies but also for the people around them, a chapter in their life got over for the start of a new chapter. I know new story for the person who died makes no sense because their story ended for us but our actions, memories, and influence ripple through time, shaping the world long after we're gone, suggesting that while our bodies may cease, our presence endures in different forms.
It's like a plant might die but the nutrients within it nurture the ecosystem around it. You might die but you still are there creating ripples through time.
Death- a tragic love story
Most people personify death as a grim necromancer coming to drag us away—a frightening figure determined to take us. Well, I see death as a beautiful mistress who loves humans but is cursed to not meet them, all alone with no one to love her.
She watches from afar, yearning to embrace the only beings she truly loves. The more death tries to reach near humans, the farther they try to run away from them. She is looked at as a curse for humans but she just wants to come closer and love the only thing she loves.
This tragic love story is misinterpreted by us thinking she is the bad guy but at the end she just doesn't want to be alone. Maybe we shouldn't fear her. Maybe every death is a moment where death finally gets to hold someone dear. I know loss is scary—but maybe it’s also part of a natural order, something significant in the grand calculus of this universe.
That’s it from my side today. If you want to share your thoughts or give feedback, feel free to reach out. See ya! :)

We can also look at death in this way: if a person is left alone and loses their loved ones, they are dead from within. The fear of death is very dangerous, but when death approaches, it can be very scary. However, when death occurs, there's no pain. The pain is in leaving behind our loved ones, whom we have to leave behind when we go. You should have added this point
ReplyDeleteI think yeah you are right and I should've brought up this point that death in general doesn't cause pain but leaving behind your loved ones causes pain. In many texts, they particularly mention that the pain in death is our soul resisting to leave our body, not willing to leave the life behind one had. So yeah, thanks for the great point and perspective really made me think a bit more.
